A verified sMiles account is required to withdraw Bitcoin to a Lightning wallet. This ensures security and links earnings to your account, not just a device. If you lose access to your phone, you can still log in on a new device and retain your rewards.
VPN Usage VPN usage is not allowed. If detected, reward earnings will be paused until the VPN is disabled. Inactive accounts for one calendar year may be deactivated, resulting in permanent loss of rewards. Create your sMiles account as soon as you open the app, to avoid issues.
😃 Bitcoin Rewards
You can earn Bitcoin on sMiles by walking, shopping, completing surveys, playing games, doing tasks, Bitcoinverse, steps competitions, and more. Reward amounts may vary based on your location and the current Bitcoin/USD exchange rate. To encourage movement and engagement, the most active users receive the highest rewards.
What are Pending Rewards? Your rewards will appear as "pending" for up to 14 days for security reasons. Once this period passes and you reach the minimum withdrawal threshold, you can send your Bitcoin to any wallet that supports the Lightning Network.
Steps Rewards To earn Bitcoin rewards for steps, the sMiles app bust have the necessary health / steps permissions. These permissions are requested during onboarding, but in case they are denied, they can be re-enabled in the phone settings: iOS: Settings → Privacy → Health → sMiles → Steps Android: Health Connect → sMiles → Allow all. Also make sure that Google Fit, or any other step tracking app syncs the steps with Health Connect.
To claim daily step rewards, open sMiles after a walk and the step chart bars will turn green or orange/red.

The Bitcoin earning streak increases as long as at least one Bitcoin reward was earned on sMiles every day.
🥇 Leaderboard
Each sMiles user can create a username, and appear on the global sMiles steps and Bitcoin leaderboard. Have fun, and compete with sMiles users worldwide. You have the option to hide your account from the public leaderboard.
💸 Send sats
Users who earned 1,000 sats with a sMiles account, will be able to withdraw their Bitcoin to any Bitcoin Lightning Wallet. Simply enter the amount you want to send on sMiles, and tap send "Send sats", or create an invoice in a Bitcoin Lightning Wallet for any amount available in your sMiles Balance, open sMiles, and press “Send sats”. Payments are processed instantly. Small Lightning Network fees apply to any withdrawal.
sMiles also enables Bitcoin withdrawals through Lightning invoices. Many Bitcoin and crypto exchanges support Lightning, including: Coinbase Binance Kraken OKX Bitfinex River Cash App
Simply open the exchange app, open the "Receive Bitcoin" menu, and select the Lightning option. Then create a Lightning invoice for a slightly smaller amount than your sMiles rewards balance, copy that invoice, open sMiles, and tap Send sats manually. sMiles will automatically detect the Lightning invoice and process the withdrawal.
⚡ Lightning Network
The Lightning Network enables second-layer Bitcoin transactions that are instant, secure, and almost free. Users who want to put their Bitcoin back onto the Bitcoin blockchain, can simply do this through a Bitcoin Lighting wallet app. Lightning to Bitcoin on-chain transactions will require paying the on-chain fee.

🛍️ Shopping with Bitcoin cashback
sMiles users can shop at featured stores, and receive Bitcoin as cashback. The cashback percentage varies, depending on the merchant. Usually, the cashback amount should appear in the sMiles user wallet within several days, with an additional email notifying the user about the coming sats. In some cases, users may be ineligible to receive any sats, as a result of program restrictions, like certain geo-restrictions (most partner programs are US based), cookie settings, used coupons, as well as other tracking issues, which may result in no shopping rewards.
sMiles can not pay shopping rewards to users, if the company has not received a commission from the merchant becasue of the above mentioned exclusions.
💻 Web version
To use sMiles on the web, simply go to app.smilesbitcoin.com, and authenticate access, by scanning the QR code with the iOS or Android app. Currently, sign ups are only possible through the sMiles mobile apps.
The web version provides a better shopping experience for sMiles users, along other web-only features.
💡Limits
Currently, the minimum withdrawal limit is 1,000 sats. It may increase, or decrease in the future. No rewards can be earned or withdrawn during active VPN sessions for security reasons.
💵 Bitcoin Purchases
Bitcoin purchases through the sMiles platform are facilitated exclusively by third-party providers, such as MoonPay. Operating in over 80 countries with all necessary licenses and regulatory approvals, these providers are solely responsible for conducting all required Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures in accordance with applicable laws. sMiles does not hold, store, or manage any Bitcoin purchased by users; all Bitcoin purchases are transmitted directly from the third-party provider to the user's designated on-chain Bitcoin address.
sMiles shall not be liable for any actions, errors, or omissions of third-party providers, including but not limited to delays, failures, or inaccuracies in processing Bitcoin purchases. Users acknowledge that any transactions conducted with third-party providers are solely between the user and the provider.

How to Sync Steps in the sMiles App Using Health Connect and Google Fit (Android): Install Health Connect: For Android 13 and below: Get Health Connect on Google Play. On Android 14+, Health Connect is built in. Install Google Fit if you haven’t used it before. Connect sMiles to Health Connect: The process depends on your Android version: On Android 14+, access Health Connect directly through system settings. On Android <14, open Health Connect through the sMiles app. Make sure Google Fit is connected to Health Connect and syncing your steps.
📌 Important: Open the sMiles app daily before midnight to log your steps for the day.
🚫 Account Deletion
To delete your sMiles account, please go to the Account Settings in the sMiles App, scroll down to Account Deletion, and tap "Delete Account". You will receive an email confirmation code to finalize the deletion. In any other case, please reach out to our support.
